Winter in Perth is unpredictable. Friday and Saturday brought torrential downpours and wind yet today we had the most perfect sun filled day with only the slightest breeze in the air. It truly was the most glorious day in Kings Park. Everyone arrived promptly armed with bikes/trikes/scooters and prams. There was an air of optimism and energy. September is the Wild Flower festival in the park so that only added to the spectacular mood! Friends/acquaintances and friends of friends to Tom and Sal -all arrived to show their support. A few men and one brave lady (well done Zoe!) went on a 20+ km ride through the park and around the Swan River. The rest of us enjoyed a wonderful 5 km walk/ride through the park. The kids were unbelievable and pushed on right to the end. We had a visit from Tom’s mate “Bob” and enjoyed a wonderfully relaxed afternoon lazing in the sun, breathing deeply for Tom! Photos will be uploaded soon…thanks to everyone in Perth for making the day such a success!

Wonderful Guys! I’m glad you had a good time. I still get goosebumps thinking of all the energy generated around the world. And Bob Marley is a well travelled legend!!

A big thanks to Kate for organising this event. She had a busy week two sick girls and a small boy in tow and was feeling really rotten herself, with a hubby madly busy at work!! A great turn out and lots of fun in the sun which showed up just for Tom!! Was asked by several locals in the park what we were doing with all the yellow balloons – it was a great sight to behold!!

Dearest Perth, I have just seen the photo’s and am so choked up! Seeing so many of our old friends who we haven’t seen in years. Thank you so much for your energy and kindness. The balloons must have made an incredible impact – what a beautiful idea. Thank you to The Logans for all your hard work. Love you all, Sal
