Tony has found a solution to our little hacker problem, and I think this will end up being a better way to render pictures on the site anyway.

We’ve opened a Flickr account for Tom (a third-party web site that you can store your pics on), so we’ll be keeping all the pics remotely. If you want to go there directly you’ll find Tom’s Photostream here.

You are able to load pictures there yourself, and they will appear as thumbnail-sized images in the box you’ll now see in the right hand column.

Tony’s instructions for how you can upload yourself are below (and found permanently in the “Pictures” tab above). Thanks again to him for being our trusty IT guy at a time when his day job is at its busiest! If you loaded a pic before but don’t see it there, please could you help us by uploading as per below?

If you’d like to add photos to this blog, here’s what you do:

1. Open a blank email, address it to lack68done@photos.flickr.com
2. In the “Subject” line of the email, put the title of the photo
3. In the Main Body of the email, type in a short message/description.
4. Make sure you have deleted all other text in the main body of the email – like your signature etc
5. Attach the photo you want to upload, and click send

The picture will be added to Tom’s Flickr Photostream, and a thumbnail will appear in the box on the sidebar of every page on this website.

Try and keep pic filesize under 100kb if possible – everyone will thank you!

Thanks!
